Well Child Visits

Regularly scheduled well-child visits are a cornerstone of our commitment to your child’s lifelong health. These visits provide a valuable opportunity to track developmental milestones, ensure overall wellness, and address any concerns you may have. Our experienced care providers offer personalized, evidence-based guidance tailored to each stage of childhood and adolescence. 

Newborn Care

We are honored to care for your newborn during their first checkup after leaving the hospital. This comprehensive visit includes a review of birth history, weight, length, and head circumference measurements, an evaluation of feeding, sleeping, and bowel habits, a full physical exam including an eye screening, and an early developmental assessment. It’s also a valuable time for parents to ask questions and receive support on topics like feeding, bathing, and sleep routines. Please bring any hospital discharge papers and a list of questions—we’re here to ensure your baby’s healthy start and your peace of mind. After your initial visit, we will provide newborn care at regular intervals through your child's first years and then once a year starting at age 2.

Flouride Varnish

Beacon Pediatrics offers fluoride varnish treatments to eligible children starting at their 6-month well-child visit and continuing every three months during regular physicals until they begin care with a dentist. This quick, topical application of 5% sodium fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by reducing cavity-causing bacteria and strengthening developing teeth. Fluoride varnish is not systemic and is widely supported by leading health organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Academy of Family Physicians. Our team is committed to providing preventive care that supports your child’s overall health, including early dental protection.
