  • What will your hours be?

    Monday-Thursday  8:00 am - 7:00 pm

    Friday     8:00 am - 4:00 pm (summer hours until 3:00 pm)

    Saturday and Sunday     9:00 am - 1:00 pm(closed Sundays in summer)

    Please contact your health insurance company to confirm that your specific insurance plan is accepted at Boston Children’s Hospital Network. Beacon Pediatrics will not be officially listed with your insurance carrier until we open for business in late November 2023.

  • Where should we seek emergency care?

    If you need to seek emergency room care we suggest South Shore Hospital or Boston Children’s Hospital. For less serious needs or urgent care outside of our business hours, we suggest PM Pediatrics in Braintree.

  • Will you have telehealth appointments?

    Yes.

  • Will you have a patient portal?

    Yes. We will have EPIC for medical record keeping and MyChart as a patient portal. Learn more about using our patient portal here. Here is how to get started with MyChart. You can download the MyChart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

  • Do I need a new MyChart account?

    Yes. Beacon Pediatrics uses a version of Epic provided by the Boston Children's PPOC (Pediatrics Physicians' Organization of Children's). You will need to sign up for a new MyChart account. To sign up, please complete the following secure form.

  • What specialists will you refer to?

    We will refer to local specialists when appropriate and Boston Children’s Hospital for the remainder of specialty care needs.

  • Will you be open on holidays?

    We will be closed on New Years, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will be open weekend hours for most other holidays.

  • Do you have a vaccine policy?

    We will provide all recommended childhood vaccines. Please see our vaccine policy for more information.

  • Do you have a mask policy?

    At this time, masks are not mandatory in our office but will be provided for anyone who would like to wear one. Masks are strongly recommended and encouraged for sick patients and family members.

  • Will you have an on-site lab?

    We will have an on-site blood drawing room where most labs can be collected. We will provide some point of care testing in the office but the remainder will be sent out to Quest Laboratories. It may be necessary to do some stat labs at SSH or SSMC.

  • Will you have on site X-ray?

    We will not have on site X-ray. If X-rays are needed you will be sent to Boston Childrens Outpatient center in Weymouth, SS Ortho at 2 Pond Park in Hingham, SSH Radiology in Weymouth, or triaged out to a local urgent care that will best suit your needs.
