Alexa is a licensed mental health counselor and nationally certified counselor who was born and raised in Massachusetts. Alexa earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2011. After earning her degree, Alexa spent time working as an applied behavioral analysis counselor at a private school for children with severe autism diagnoses. Upon deciding to become a therapist, Alexa moved to Denver, Colorado to pursue higher education. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver in 2015 and began practicing in Colorado, ultimately earning her professional license. Alexa and her husband returned to their roots in Massachusetts to start their family in 2019 when she discovered a new passion for integrated mental health care working as a behavioral health provider at a pediatric practice in Quincy, MA.

Alexa has experience utilizing various therapeutic approaches and tailors treatment specifically to each client. Working with adults and children who have intellectual, learning, and cognitive differences, trauma, and anxiety, are a few, among many areas, she has experience with. Alexa is thrilled and eager to implement her repertoire in this new role at Beacon Pediatrics!

Alexa enjoys spending time with her two young children, husband, two dogs, AND cat. You will find Alexa and her family at the beach any chance they get, no matter the season! Alexa is conversant in Greek.
