Our Providers

Julianne Nemes Walsh, DNP, PNP-BC

Dr. Julianne Nemes Walsh, DNP, PNP-BC is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, born and raised in Boston alongside more than 36 cousins and 6 brothers.

Julianne received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Salem State University, her Master of Science in Maternal and Child Health at Boston College, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

She began her career at Boston Children’s Hospital caring for critically ill children in the Emergency Room and as an ICU transport nurse. After adventuring to California to practice in the Emergency Room at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (just long enough to explore the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii) she eventually returned to Boston to start an inpatient surgical nurse practitioner program for Boston Children’s Hospital.

In 1996, once her first child was born, she left the hospital setting and began practicing in primary care.  As a practicing provider, she believes strongly in evidence-based care and feels honored to partner with parents during their child’s healthcare journey.  She loves pediatrics because as a specialty it makes you laugh every day, as you never know what will come out of the mouths of children.

Dr. Julianne Nemes Walsh, DNP, PNP-BC is the Associate Medical Director of the Children’s Hospital Pediatric Physicians Organization (PPOC) for the South Shore region and is delighted and grateful to join Beacon Pediatrics as an Urgent Care provider.  She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Julianne lives in Kingston with her husband and giant golden doodle, Wally. She is the proud mother of three and loves being a grandmother.   Her greatest joy is spending time with her children and enjoying their humor. She also enjoys fishing, gardening, reading, and bicycling in her spare time.
