Lynne Day, MD

Dr. Lynne Day grew up on the South Shore.  She graduated from Boston College and then moved to San Diego, CA to live and work with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps for 1 year where she worked at San Diego Youth and Community Services with homeless and runaway youth.  She attended Creighton University School of Medicine and then completed her Pediatric residency at Brown University/Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, RI (with the Doctors Polcari!). She began her career in general pediatrics working in the Hasbro Children’s Hospital ER and at a private practice in Lincoln, RI while her husband completed pediatric cardiology training at Boston Children’s Hospital.  The next phase of life carried the two doctors Day, plus their first son and a second on the way off to Dallas, TX where they lived for 14 years.  While in Dallas, Dr. Day worked for two primary care practices assisting their offices with primary and urgent care coverage. The Days also welcomed two more sons and added 2 dogs to their family before moving back to Massachusetts in July 2022.

The Days are thrilled to be back on the South Shore and they have no plans to move or add family members again anytime soon!   Lynne lives in Duxbury with her family.  In her free time you can find her working on the family calendar, trying to get to sporting events, at the grocery store, cleaning her kitchen, doing laundry, and just trying to soak up every minute of the chaos before her children are grown and flown.  She also loves the beach, the ocean, walking with her husband, skiing, and just being outside.

A career in Pediatrics was an easy choice for Dr. Day.  She decided relatively early on in high school that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine.  Her decision to pursue pediatrics came in medical school where she came to believe and still strongly believes, that the health, safety, and well being of our children are paramount.  She also loves to see children smile.  Dr. Day is very excited and grateful to be a part of Beacon Pediatrics.  She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.
