Our Providers

Dr. Sarah Schneider has been a pediatrician on the South Shore for over 20 years. She grew up in New Jersey and enjoyed baking, reading, playing sports, sailing and going to the beaches along the Jersey Shore. Her interest in medicine began as a teen when she would visit her mother who worked as an ICU nurse and while shadowing doctors from the local hospital. 

 While at Brown University for her undergraduate degree, she majored in Biology and worked in the Child Life Department at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI. She also enjoyed working in a mentoring program to help support and promote interest in science for girls and women.. She spent summers teaching sailing, doing research and working at the Bridgeport Hospital in CT. She received her medical degree in 2000 at the Larner College of Medicine at Vermont University. While at UVM, she helped teach biology and health in the local elementary classrooms and volunteered at the Children's Hospital of Morelos in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She completed her residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children in 2003.

Dr. Schneider enjoys the relationships she forms with her patients and their families and is proud to be part of their journey through childhood and adolescence. She is interested in preventative medicine and wellness and over the years has collaborated with other providers on various quality initiatives. She is looking forward to continuing this work with her colleagues at Beacon Pediatrics.

In her free time, Dr. Schneider looks forward to spending time with her family and friends and loves being near the water or beach. She likes being active and you can often find her exercising, biking, walking, and sailing. She is an avid reader and enjoys sharing books with her colleagues and friends.
